Well Guys SPRING FOR UNIMAT SL IN MILL-DRILL VERTICAL FORMAT - I now know what it looks like - a narrow flat spring wound conically so that compresses more or less into the preceding layer (correct me if wrong please). I could live with the resulting reduction in quill travel. But somewhat horrified at the cost of posting/tax a spring from the USA!
